TO ILLUSTRATE THE GAP BETWEEN
AFRICAN, EUROPEAN & AMERICAN
CREATIVE OPPORTUNITIES

Wangari, Cecilia, and Amanda, are three visual artists, from Kenya, Sweden and United States respectively, who have all pursued careers in the arts through education and short-term exhibition opportunities. While Cecilia and Amanda have had more opportunities for residencies and have built a larger body of work, Wangari has used social media to build up her art practice. All three artists are active in their art scene and are open to collaborations, but their similarities end there.
